Her holistic approach ensures results that extend far beyond the appointment, leaving you feeling empowered every time you catch your reflection.
“Microblading” is a technique that uses a small, handheld blade that gently scratches the surface of your skin, creating super fine hair-like strokes. “Nano” is a technique that uses a single point needle and a cosmetic tattoo machine to implement pigmented strokes into the skin. During your initial brow session appointment, we will discuss which technique is best for you.
Before your brow appointment you will want to avoid anything that causes the blood to thin including Ibuprofen, aspirin, caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours prior. There is no need to wax, tweeze or shape the brows before your session.
A brow tattoo is designed to last 1-3 years depending on the person and their skin type.
Touch-ups are recommended once your brow tattoo is faded about 40-50%. This typically happens anywhere from 1.5-3 years after your initial session.
Feel free to send me a photo if you’re unsure if you’re ready for a touch-up!
Previously tattooed brows should be at least 80-90% faded before being worked on by another artist. If there is too much pigment in the skin, we will not be able to achieve the natural, fluffy effect of a new tattoo.
Sending a photo of previously tattooed brows is recommended and laser removal treatments may be required.
During your first appointment we’ll have a mini consultation where we’ll go through your expectations and desires for your new brows as well as which technique is best for you.
After we have a good idea of what you’re looking for we will numb your brows, create your outline/new shape, go through aftercare and the healing process and then begin the tattoo!
Typically, a brow tattoo is a two-step process. At your 6 week touch-up we are able to look at how you’ve healed and if we need to adjust color, shape, length, symmetry and reinforce any strokes that didn’t quite retain in the skin the first time.
Overall, the 6 week touch-up is designed to finish the look and give the effect of fluffy, realistic 3-D brows.
Pain tolerance differs, but client comfort is always a priority. A topical numbing agent is reapplied throughout to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible.
Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching feeling, typically rating it around a 2–3 out of 10 on the pain scale.
Total healing time is about 10-15 days. During this time you will go through a few different phases which we will discuss at your appointment.
You’ll want to keep your brows dry, regularly apply aftercare, keep them out of the sun, and avoid sweat.
